Which mahjong style should you learn?

Mahjong is three games wearing one name. Five questions about pace, scoring and where you will play point you to the style you will actually enjoy — American, Hong Kong or Riichi — and to verified local classes that teach it.

Most US community classes teach American style; Hong Kong and Riichi groups cluster in bigger cities. Style is stated on each class page wherever the organizer publishes it.
